A division of Blue Star Metals.
Built to support your next step.

Moonlight Manufacturing launched in 2007 to better support customers in fabrication. Blue Star’s long-standing relationships in the local steel market help with material pricing and availability, while coordinating processing through our team reduces the time spent moving material and managing multiple vendors.

Our goal is faster turnaround, consistent quality, and fewer handoffs—from raw steel to finished or ready-to-assemble components. Ask your Blue Star Metals sales representative about Moonlight Manufacturing, or contact the Moonlight Manufacturing Regional Sales Manager.

Shearing

From sheet and plate to fabrication-ready blanks, Blue Star Metals provides straight-line shearing for custom sizes, long strips, and repeat production. Cut-to-size material helps prepare your order for forming, welding, and assembly.

  • 16-foot shear: up to 3/8″ mild steel.
  • Separate 12-foot shear: up to 1/2″ material.

We match your material, thickness, and cut length to the right machine. Send your dimensions and quantities, and our team will confirm the setup for your order.

Press brake forming

Six press brakes and several operators help keep your forming jobs moving and support fast turnaround. We form a wide range of materials, thicknesses, and lengths. From simple angles to more complex formed components, we can support everything from prototype work to repeat production while keeping bends consistent and predictable.

Turret punching

Turret punching is one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to put shapes, holes, and patterns into sheet metal—especially when laser cutting isn’t necessary. It’s a great option for common cutouts and repeatable profiles where you want clean results at a lower cost per part.

Our turret-punching equipment includes an AMADA PEGA-345 with an AMADAN-04P-C control and a Strippit 1000 SXP/30 with 30-ton punching capacity. From individual cutouts to repeat production patterns, we help match your parts to the right machine and tooling. Send your drawing, material, thickness, and quantities so we can confirm the right approach for your job.

Punch press work

From mounting plates and slotted brackets to formed clips and repeat-production components, Moonlight Manufacturing offers a variety of punching and forming techniques to help produce consistent parts efficiently.

Our six punch presses, standard punch-press dies, and established setups support a wide range of projects. For larger quantities and ongoing production, we can also review dedicated tooling to help keep hole patterns and formed features consistent while reducing repeated setup work.

Need punch press work? Send us your drawing or part sample, material, thickness, and quantities. We’ll review the available tooling and production options with you and help determine the best plan for your project.

Custom Tooling for Production

For larger orders and ongoing production, custom tooling helps us produce consistent, repeatable parts efficiently. We develop and maintain tooling to support your manufacturing project, including custom punch press dies for unique profiles and special punching requirements. Bring us your drawings, quantities, and production goals, and we’ll help determine the right approach for your next production run or long-term program.

Roll forming

We run three roll forming lines to support consistent profiles across a wide range of materials and applications. Whether it’s construction-related products, shelving components, or other formed shapes, roll forming is an efficient way to create uniform parts at scale with excellent repeatability.

Laser Cutting

From simple brackets to complex custom profiles, Blue Star Metals provides precision laser-cutting solutions for prototypes, production components, and larger manufacturing projects.

Our Bystronic BySpeed 3015 CO₂ laser capabilities support accurate cutting, repeatable results, and efficient sheet-metal processing.

  • Complex profiles and detailed cutouts: prepare parts to your drawing and reduce the need for manual shaping.
  • Repeatable components: help keep fit-up and assembly consistent across repeat orders.
  • From prototypes to production: develop an individual part or plan ongoing quantities with the same team.

Laser-cutting orders are accepted now. Send your drawings, material, thickness, and quantities so we can confirm the processing approach, pricing, and lead time for your project.
